It's been one year since our last BLCK reunion, in Copenhagen, and in 2014 we decided to meet in the City of Light and indulge in all things french. Starting with our very french hotel right in the city centre - Splendid Hotel Etoile, which was splendid indeed, with a gorgeous view of the Arc de Triomphe. There was great food (Le Pain Quotidien with its generous, decadent breakfast, Laduree macaroons on Champs-Elysees), champagne, a trip to the shopping mecca (Galeries Lafayette, while next time we will also visit Merci and Colette), tons of sightseeing, from Eiffel Tower to Monmartre to Notre Dame de Paris, Tuileries Gardens, Pont Neuf, with a long walk through a hip Le Marais district. But most important, here we were again, altogether, celebrating our friendship after 20 years since we first met.
