If you've never lived in Scandinavia, the whole fascination with 'lakrids' (liquorice) might be foreign to you. It is an acquired taste, yet once you are in, you'd never leave the Danish shores without a pack of Heksehylle, Tyrkisk Peber or Choco-lakrids almonds. So imagine our delight when we came across this recipe by the Cute Carbs: liquorice cupcakes with red currant AND a liquorice frosting. Heaven. And very easy to make.
